Initially, this trip was not on the orchestra’s tour schedule. However, the Italian partners of Moscow Virtuosi, who organised the concert in Verona in October 2011, asked the orchestra for help. The fact is that on 11 December a concert of one Russian group was to take place on the stage of the Petrucelli Theatre as part of the Christmas festival. All preliminary agreements were reached, but the tour was disrupted at the last minute due to the conductor’s illness.

The «Moscow Virtuosi» were able to build a new concert into their busy schedule and performed brilliantly on the famous stage of the Petrucelli theatre.
