Vladimir Spivakov’s team will play works by Shostakovich and Schubert
Vladimir Spivakov created the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra – more than a third of a century ago. The orchestra has gained world fame thanks to its phenomenal artistic freedom and the highest professionalism of its musicians. Exquisite style and verified ensemble sound is the visiting card of Moscow Virtuosi.
The soloists in the March programme will be rising stars of the performing arts Anastasia Kobekina and Vsevolod Zavidov, who will perform with the orchestra conducted by maestro Vladimir Spivakov.
– All of them are my children, says conductor and president of International Charity Seva Zavidov, 11, who studies at the Central School. In 2016 he won the Debut International Piano Competition in the United States and had the opportunity to give a solo concert at Carnegie Hall in New York. Anastasia Kobekina, also a student of the Central School, is now continuing her studies in Germany. She is a winner of the Nutcracker International Television Competition, winner of the main prize of the Landgraf von Hessen-Preis Academy in Kronberg and of the Oleg Yankovsky Prize. The trumpet solo in Shostakovich’s concert will be performed by Alexander Bakharev, soloist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
