Musicians from the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra performed at the Festival in Istra
As part of the fourth day of the «Summer. Music. Museum» in Istra performed by musicians of the chamber orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi», also a performance of the orchestra Musica Viva, the skinny man of which is Alexander Rudin, reported on the website of the museum and exhibition complex of the Moscow region «New Jerusalem».

Musicians of the State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» also became residents of this festival. This orchestra was created in 1979 by the outstanding virtuoso violinist Vladimir Spivakov and a group of his friends. Their repertoire includes music from various styles and eras – from baroque to works by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Bartók, Piazzolla, Penderecki, Shchedrin, Schnittke, Gubaidulina, Pärt and Kancheli.
At the festival, they performed the suite «From Holberg times» by E. Grieg, music from the ballet «Apollo Musaget» and a concert for I. Stravinsky’s string orchestra. For an encore was performed Hungarian dance number 5 Brahms. Conducted by Alexander Soloviev.
