Novosibirsk residents have purchased all tickets for Spivakov’s concert
Three weeks after the start of ticket sales for the concerts of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, tickets for the programme of Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra were sold out. According to the Novosibirsk Philharmonic, Spivakov’s concert will take place on 26 March, and the festival’s art director, Novosibirsk violinist Vadim Repin, will also take part in it.
«Interest in the concert is phenomenal. The public was not stopped even by the fact that ticket prices for this programme were higher than for other projects of the festival», said Vladimir Kaluzhsky, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic. – The nature of this interest is clear and understandable: Vladimir Spivakov is one of the most famous Russian musicians. But I want to encourage our listeners to pay close attention to other concerts of the festival as well. The Trans-Siberian Art Festival is known for introducing the public to phenomenal musicians who are internationally renowned but often little known in our country. Previous festivals have given many such discoveries, and I am sure that the upcoming festival will also significantly broaden the horizon of current musical events and names in the representation of every Novosibirsk resident.
The Novosibirsk Philharmonic noted that only those who decide to take a season ticket for the festival programme have a chance to attend this concert. There are only two subscriptions left. One concert by Spivakov includes the Ice and Flame programme, in which Spanish cellist Pablo Ferrandez and Latvian conductor Andris Poga will perform. In the second, in addition to the Moscow Virtuosi concert, the «Passion for John» oratorio will be performed by the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and international soloists under the direction of conductor Ilya Korol (Austria).
