Today in Minsk starts the VI International Festival «Vladimir Spivakov invites»
Vladimir Spivakov invites everyone to get closer to classical art! Today on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus for the sixth time world stars of opera and ballet – from classical to modern – will shine.
«Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Swan Lake are both world masterpieces and original productions of contemporary choreography. All tickets have been redeemed! There is a special reason: six months ago the maestro turned 75, and Spivakov’s brainchild also has a 40th anniversary – the chamber orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi».
Vladimir Spivakov, conductor, artistic director of the State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi»: «I have been performing here for many years and I always leave with the feeling of meeting my dear friends. And I come, I miss you, so I never give up on concerts in Belarus. When a big orchestra is in front of you, it’s important not to show that you’re not worried, it’s important to calm everyone down with your eyes».
The festival will be decorated with a performance by Anna Aglatova, soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. The regions will also be able to see and hear the classics’ extravaganza: tomorrow and the day after tomorrow there will be concerts in Gomel and Mogilev. And on 9 March, on the stage of the Belgosphilharmonic Hall, there will be a closing performance by the Kremerata Baltica Chamber Orchestra with Luke Debarg.
