«Do something with the lack of love in the world!» – Such a request was made by the legendary conductor Vladimir Spivakov to scientists of Novosibirsk Academgorodok. The Trans-Siberian Art Festival presented the Siberians with another musical surprise – Vladimir Spivakov and Vadim Repin played a duet for the first time. How were they rehearsing? And how does the maestro evaluate the Festival?

Vladimir Spivakov, conductor: «It’s wonderful that there is such a festival at all. The world has changed. It is a very complicated world. The world is full of aggression, imperfection and an antimony. And there is no such thing as music. There is no aggression in music. It calms people down, comforts them. All the negativity disappears. People rise up.»

Vadim Repin, artistic director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival: «It seems to me that it is the same in any composition – two, three – chemistry. Musical dialogue is the most important quality for me. When I haven’t played – so what. We even thought, maybe not rehearse at all.
