As early as tomorrow, an honorary citizen of Togliatti, a star of world classical music, philanthropist, violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra will visit our city. On 1 February they will perform at DKIT, a concert organised by the Togliatti Philharmonic.

As usual, Spivakov will not come alone, but with famous soloists. This time the maestro will present to Togliatti connoisseurs of classical music the finalist of the Big Opera 2016 project on the Kultura TV channel Kseniya Nesterenko (soprano) and four violinists: Honoured Artist of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Vitaly Handras, Honoured Artists of Russia Alexei Lundin, Evgeny Shulkov and Alexei Strelnikov.

The concert consists of two sections. The first will feature Haydn’s and Schnittke’s Symphony No. 85 The Queen. The suite appeared on the basis of film music, with themes from the films «The Ways of the Dentist» and «Sport, Sport, Sport».

In the second section, «Virtuosos» plays «The Wounded Heart» and «The Last Spring» by Spivakov Grieg’s favourite. And then the parade of masters will begin.  First Xenia Nesterenko will perform arias from the operas «Gianni Skikki» and «La Boheme» by Puccini and a Spanish song by Deliba. And then Astor Piazzolla’s Story of the Tango Suite for Violin and Orchestra will be performed, each of the four parts featuring a solo by one of the above honoured artists.
