In Stary Oskol, the «Moscow Virtuosi» performed under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov
On 18 October, the Cultural Development Centre (formerly the Miner Culture Centre) hosted a performance by the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra led by Vladimir Spivakov. That evening the music of Vivaldi, Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Grieg, Bizet and Haydn was performed on stage. The creative atmosphere was complemented by arias from the operas «Carmen» and «Samson and Dalila», presented by the soloist Evgeniya Asanova. Filigree, low-profile, weightless and at the same time incredibly emotional, absolutely unearthly art of great musicians. Not without reason, Vladimir Theodorovich said in a conversation with journalists: «The main thing is always spoken of quietly».
…The Old Ringers were simply bewitched. After each work, the hall, listening to the last chord, froze for a few seconds, as if without daring to interrupt the magic, to shake off the obsession. Only then did it explode with applause and shouts of «Bravo! The artists did not want to let go, and they performed several works «for an encore», ending Astor Piazzola’s «Libertango» concert. Bravo, Maestro! Bravo, «Virtuosos»!
Let’s remind, performances of «Moscow Virtuosi» and Vladimir Spivakov in Stary Oskol and Gubkin took place within the limits of festival ART-OCNO established by Alisher Usmanov’s charitable fund «Art, science and sports».
