    The VI International Festival «Vladimir Spivakov invites…» will be held in Belarus on March 3-9, the festival’s producer, director of Berin Iglesias Art holding company Maxim Berin told journalists today, reports BELTA.

    «The festival has been living and flourishing in Belarus since 2010, and interest in it is constantly growing. Together with the maestro we have prepared an interesting programme», said Maxim Berin.

    The opening ceremony will take place on 3 March on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. The State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» and soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Anna Aglatova will take part in the opera gala concert. On 4 March the stage of the Belgosphilharmonic will host an unusual performance-concert «Eugene Onegin». The great work of Pushkin will be read by the famous Russian actor Dmitry Dyuzhev. The highlight of the mono-performance will be added by music by Sergei Prokofiev performed by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Belarus under the baton of maestro Arkady Berin.

    Traditionally, the festival is also accepted by regions. The Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra and Vladimir Spivakov will perform on 4 and 5 March in Gomel and Mogilev. Gifted children will give a concert at the Belarusian State Academy of Music on 6 March. On 7 March the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus will host a gala concert «Stars of the World Ballet. From Classics to Art Nouveau» will take place on 7 March at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. The best ballet dancers from leading European theatres will perform on stage. The programme will include both world masterpieces «Sleeping Beauty», «Don Quixote», «Swan Lake» and original productions created by modern choreographers.

    The festival will conclude on 9 March with a concert of the chamber orchestra «Kremerata Baltica» created by the famous Gidon Kremer on the stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. The concert will be attended by guest soloist Luka Debarg (piano). By the way, this will be his second performance in Minsk.

    «I am very pleased that the festival has gained a foothold in Belarus and is being held for the sixth time. It brings together programmes performed by both renowned musicians and young people, which is important for us, said Irina Driga, Head of the Main Directorate for State Special Cultural Events and Professional Art of the Ministry of Culture. – We would like to express our gratitude to those companies and organisations that support the festival. This is one of the very important elements of public-private partnership».

    Traditionally, the concerts of the festival attract great interest from the public. And according to the organisers, tickets for the opening and closing of the festival have already been purchased.
