  • Musical and poetic composition “The Seasons”

The legendary chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” presents the musical and poetic composition “The Seasons.” The program will allow you to enjoy great Russian poetry and Tchaikovsky’s “The Seasons,” which are rightfully called twelve little masterpieces.

Russian poetry is a unique phenomenon that has inspired and moved readers for centuries. It is imbued with deep emotions, philosophical thoughts, and vivid imagery, reflecting the richness of Russian culture and history. One of the main features of Russian poetry is its musicality.

The music from “The Seasons” is familiar to everyone from childhood. It is a true diary of the composer, where he so subtly depicted not only the marvelous scenes of nature and rural life but also the world of feelings and states. The cycle of pieces, originally written for piano, has become a gem of Russian classical music.

The theme of the seasons has always been popular in art due to its philosophical significance: the change of seasons corresponds to periods in our lives. In the treatise “Timaeus,” Plato stated that time came into being along with the heavens. We all keenly feel time and the impossibility of altering its course.

Russian poetry and Tchaikovsky’s music, brilliantly performed by Yuri Anpilogov and the “Moscow Virtuosi,” form a synergy of cultural code and a support for our souls, so needed right now.

Artistic word: Yuri Anpilogov, an actor from the “Modern” theater, award recipient of the “Moskovsky Komsomolets” theater prize in the category “Best Male Role” (for the role of Peter in the play “Peter I,” director — Yuri Grymov).

    Scriptwriter: Svetlana Simonova
