The Haifa Audience began the jubilee tour of the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra under the baton of the famous musician Vladimir Spivakov and the world opera star, the brilliant Hibla Gerzmav.

The People’s Sea filled the Auditorium in Haifa in anticipation of meeting the maestro and his famous orchestra. The magical sounds of music poured into the hall. And at these moments, not only the orchestra obeyed the conductor’s wand of Vladimir Spivakov, but also the audience watched every movement of the maestro, who was in full dialogue with the musicians.

Works of Russian and foreign musical classics were heard. Dmitry Shostakovich, Edward Grieg, Giuseppe Verdi, Francesco Cilea, Vincenzo Bellini, Friedrich Gulda…

In a chic purple dress, underneath the Queen, the soloist Hibla Gerzmava appeared on stage. Possessing a wide range of lyrical sopranos, the singer charmed the audience. In the sound of her voice one could feel tenderness and power at the same time.

There were no pleasant surprises either. At the end of the programme, the singer performed the Hebrew song «Yerushalaim Shel Zahav» – brilliantly, in her own way, different from her predecessors and today’s singers.

A special programme of classical works, famous romances and arias from the Golden Opera Fund has been prepared for the tour.

Jubilee gala concerts of the State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» under the direction of maestro Vladimir Spivakov and with the participation of the world opera diva Hibla Gerzmava will also take place in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Ashdod. It should be noted that a special gala concert will be held in Tel Aviv with the participation of two additional talented soloists – Japanese pianist Shio Okui and Israeli cellist Daniel Akta.
