This large and beautiful building on the banks of the Moskva River, near the Paveletskaya metro station, is one of the most prestigious for musicians.

His concert halls have excellent acoustics built by the best architects. Therefore, the performances of the stars are scheduled for many months to come.

Leading symphony orchestras and jazz stars, such as Igor Butman, as well as foreign tour operators such as Joe Bonamasa, Joss Stone and Steve Wye, play here.

And now the MMDM has also announced the opening of a new hall. It is difficult to even guess where it has been placed so far. But that is what it will be called – the New Hall.

The Moscow International House of Music «RG» reported the date of the first concert. It will take place in the New Hall on 9 March 2020. On this day Vladimir Spivakov, Anna Aglatova and the State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» will perform works by Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti and Boccherini.

The new hall will be a unique concert venue in central Moscow. In the foyer spectators will be able to see paintings and sculptures of famous contemporary artists and sculptors from the personal collection of Vladimir Spivakov himself, donated to the House of Music. Among the canvases are works by Evgeny Rastorguev (many of his paintings are on display at the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Art Museum of Toulouse (France), the Cremona Foundation and private collections in various countries); paintings by Yuri Vasilyev, Boris Beach, Oksana Mas, Igor Novikov, sculptures by Sergei Sergeyev…

No less interesting will be the Artistic Room, which will also be included in the cultural space of the New Hall: paintings by Dmitry Plavinsky, antique furniture, personal belongings by Alfred Schnittke…

In addition to performances by musicians, the multifunctional hall, which seats 286 spectators, will also host creative meetings with actors and directors and premiers of theatre productions. Few people will be able to see it.
