The VI International Festival «Vladimir Spivakov invites…» will be held in Minsk from 3 to 9 March. You can read about all the concerts that will take place as part of the festival in the big guide AFISHA.TUT.BY.

Traditionally, every two years maestro Vladimir Spivakov, the ideological inspirer and creator of the festival, invites everyone to get closer to classical art. Since 2010, Spivakov has invariably delighted his fans with brilliant orchestral concerts and performances by world stars of opera and ballet.

Over the years, dozens of stars of world opera and ballet have taken part in the festival – Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Anna Netrebko, soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre, Boris Eifman’s ballet and many others. The programme for the sixth festival will open up a number of new names and allow you to enjoy both instrumental music and theatre art.

This time the festival will be held under the auspices of maestro Vladimir Spivakov’s anniversary. On 12 September he celebrated his 75th birthday and the creative 40th anniversary of the «Moscow Virtuosi» orchestra. Vladimir Spivakov created and leads this renowned orchestra.

    Opening of the festival

The solemn opening of the festival will take place on 3 March at the National Academic Bolshoi Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. The State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» and soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Anna Aglatova (soprano) will take part in the opera Gala concert. The concert program includes arias from operas by W. A. Mozart and G. Donizetti, as well as orchestral works by W. A. Mozart and L. Boccherini.

Anna was a scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. She is a student of the Pushkin Russian Academy of Music. She is a student of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music. The singer made her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre, becoming its youngest soloist, and since then she has been involved in many opera productions at the theatre. Aglatova has successfully performed in Vienna, Basel and Amsterdam. Last year she gave a large solo concert at the Moscow International House of Music with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. […]

The borders of the VI International Festival «Vladimir Spivakov invites…» are expanding. The maestro will give two concerts in Gomel and Mogilev. They will take place on 4 March in Mogilev at the Palace of Culture of the Region and 5 March in Gomel at the Gomel Regional Public Centre.
