The State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi» opens the 34th season.
The first concert will take place on 24 August at St Bernadette’s Church in Annecy (France) as part of the Annecy Classics Festival.
Traditionally, the orchestra has prepared two season tickets for its regular listeners: to the Moscow International House of Music and the Moscow Philharmonic.
For their residence, the Moscow Virtuosi made up a special season ticket: musicians together with the audience and – attention! – without a conductor will go on a journey through musical epochs. The time machine will travel from the Baroque period to the present day through Classics, Romance and the 20th Century. Almost every concert will be dedicated to the music of two contemporary composers, whose dialogue will give listeners a good idea of their time and help them better understand the time of today. And finally, the gala concert of the season ticket will take place in the Svetlanovsky Hall with the participation of Andrei Makarevich.
An equally interesting season ticket awaits visitors to the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. Together with the orchestra they will be able to make three time travels: «From minuet to waltz», «From Mozart to jazz» and in the future to visit the final concert of the season card «Moscow Virtuosi. Today and Tomorrow».
Предъюбилейный сезон будет весьма насыщенным. Оркестр примет участие в культурной программе года Россия-Германия, выступит более чем в 20 городах России (от Москвы до Владивостока), в странах СНГ и за рубежом (во Франции, Германии, Финляндии, Швейцарии, Израиле, Турции). Продолжится творческое сотрудничество «Виртуозов Москвы» с Мишелем Леграном, Хельмутом Риллингом, Игорем Бутманом, Пьером Амойалем, Сарой Чанг и Пинхасом Цукерманом. Также оркестр представит программы со своими новыми друзьями – звёздами мировой величины.
