Mikhail Shtanko graduated from the Plekhanov Moscow State Conservatory. Mikhail Shtanko graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in 1999 (Head of Prof. Alexey Utkin). He has participated in a number of prestigious international festivals, such as the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory: Schwetzingen Festspiele, Sacro-Art (Germany), M. Rostropovich Festival (France), Ars-Longa, Edison Denisov Space, December Nights (Russia). Winner of the international competition.

Since 2006, Mikhail has been an artist with the State Chamber Orchestra «‎Moscow Virtuosi».

Mikhail’s business card – transcriptions for oboe. He performs a lot in various projects related to chamber music and as a soloist with various orchestras. He is a permanent member of the Classica-Art ensemble of soloists, whose performing role is to promote music for wind instruments.
