Timur Vorotnikov
Timur Vorotnikov was born into a family of musicians in the city of Cheboksary, where he began studying the violin at the age of 5.
After winning the republican competition in 1985, he entered the TSMHS at the Conservatory in the class of L.I. Lundstrem. During his studies, he frequently toured the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries. He has performed with symphony orchestras and solo programmes. He continued his education at the Lundstrem Moscow State Conservatory. He continued his education at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and postgraduate studies in the class of Professor V.G. Igolinsky. In parallel with his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory, since 1993 he has been a concertmaster of the second violins in the Moscow Chamber Orchestra «Ensemble XXI Century», and since 1997 – Deputy Concert Master of the first violins.
Since 2000 he has been collaborating with the State Chamber Orchestra under the direction of K. Orbelian.
He has been a permanent violinist with the Moscow Conservatory Trio since 1995. As part of the trio he takes part in music festivals (Russia, Finland), tours Russia, CIS countries, Germany and Italy.
He has records on radio and CD.
In 2003 he was admitted as an orchestra artist to the State Chamber Orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi».
