  • Dimitry Egorov

    Dimitry Egorov was born in Pärnu (Estonia). He began to study music at the Pärnu Children’s Music School in the class of Tatiana Gunter. Winner of the first prize at regional and national competitions for young performers.

    Since 1990, he has studied at the Gnesins Moscow Specialised Secondary School of Music in the class of Lyudmila Shevrekuko. In 1995, he entered the Gnesins RAM in the class of Professor Khalida Akhtyamova.

    Since 1996 he has been involved in ensemble music under the direction of the People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Valentin Berlinsky, cellist with the Borodin State Quartet.

    He has participated in various international festivals such as Orlando festival (Netherlands), Portogruaro festival (Italy), Parnu David Oistrahhi festival (Estonia) and others. Participant in the Moscow government programme «‎Stars of the 21st Century».

    Since 2000, he has been an artist with the State Chamber Orchestra «‎Moscow Virtuosi».

    1999 – I-st prize at the 5th International Shostakovich String Quartet Competition as part of the «‎Romantic Quartet».
